I would like to give a little more time on Wine Library TV. I had briefly mentioned their company in the last post but their approach to online marketing warrants more attention.
Gary Vaynerchuk with www.tv.winelibary.com has taken the concept of product demonstration and fused it with the power of social media to come up with a viral combination to build his brand into a powerhouse.
Product-Demo has no affiliation with Wine Library TV nor were we involved in the production of the spots or the development of their website but can find no better example of how a brand can effectively utilize media to inspire sales.
What strikes me most about the clips are they are no more than friendly conversations related to a product. No pitch. No pressure. Just a great blend of education, entertainment and enticement.
Of course, his product lends itself well to a friendly conversation but how can you find the right conversation around your own product? What would speak to those who might be interested in your what you sell?
What resources could you find to create a presentation or demonstration of your product? What would be your message and most importantly how would you find your audience.
Ever since there were products to sell, the sharing of experiences has helped consumers identify how a need could be fulfilled. Before the internet, the experiences were limited to one sales rep at a time. Businesses are no longer bound by these restraints.
Wine Library TV is proving this in spades.
